Patlabor Live Action Movie Announced

A press conference was recently held in order to announce the upcoming live-action Patlabor film. The actors of the live action Patlabor film stand behind a full scale replica of the Ingram, the titular robot of the classic anime.

The Next Generation - Patlabor is not a remake or adaptation of the anime, but a new sequel that builds upon the previous Patlabor anime series and films.

The project will be split into two, one is a seven-part series, then followed by a feature film. The production is estimated at 2 billion Yen (200 million US dollars), and will be handled by the Tohokushinsha Film Corporation.
